  • Apply your knowledge Work with our dedicated internship to build your practical and professional experience with an internship in a social justice field. 
  • Work on a semester-long research project Work side-by-side with faculty on research ranging from refugee support to human rights.
  • Join a club ASU has over 600 student-run clubs and organizations.
  • ​​​​​​​Work with a faculty mentor Our professors are dedicated to student academic and professional success, and hold weekly office hours for drop-in appointments.
  • Study Abroad ASU offers over 300 study abroad opportunities, including the Sustainability and Social Justice in the Middle East program.
  • ​​​​​​​Create Change Changemaker Central @ ASU empowers students to apply their education, expertise and passion for positive social progress by tackling local and global challenges.

Attend the school’s signature events

  • Clothesline Project @ ASU A visual display of community-created T-shirts by survivors of and individuals impacted by domestic violence.
  • Ethnic Studies Week An event series that examines and discusses issues of race, privilege and difference in society through workshops, discussions and lectures.
  • John P. Frank Memorial Lecture The annual lecture focuses on pressing justice issues of our time, past speakers have included Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano.
  • Seeking Justice in AZ The lecture series brings in experts from our local communities to discuss critical national issues in an Arizona context.
